Our Approach and Culture

With our families and the friends that they introduce to us

At BHT we are aware of the responsibility that families place on us when they reach out to us or refer us to their friends. We value highly the trust they put in us. We know that a good education can transform people’s lives. We treat all our pupils and every family as potentially a long-term relationship. We have families that we have been helping for over two decades and are now supporting the children of pupils we previously supported. Perhaps we are old fashioned. We do not believe in being transactional.

With our tutors

We also treat our tutors with respect and accord to them the same level of esteem that we accord to our pupils and families. Our tutors tend to be highly educated and genteel and would probably have earned a lot more money had they chosen alternative careers. Although our tutors work independently, we ensure that their work is paid promptly by BHT – as a rule within 24 hours of our receiving their invoice. BHT then invoices the families usually at the end of each calendar month.

Respect and trust are at the heart of everything we do.
